Art In Motion Dance Company is the first school of dance in the state of Rhode Island to have a Chapter in the national organization. National Dance Honor Society is an organization that recognizes excellence in the study of dance.
 

Until this year it was only available to students enrolled in colleges or university. After careful consideration the Board opened it up to students in High Schools and Private Sector Schools of Dance.

In 2006 two High School graduating seniors were inducted into the chapter
and therefore the national organization. They are Harmony Reid and Gabrielle
Scheff.

Art In Motion Dance Company is dedicated to the education of our students
and will help them reach the proficiency level required by 2008 as a
graduation requirement from a public High School. Becoming a member of the
Honor Society will certainly factor into their achievement.
